Dr Terry Martin
Practice Owner (BVSc.)
Terry graduated from the University of Queensland in 1988 and now has over 30 years of experience as a veterinarian. After working at Sunnybank Veterinary Clinic for 18 years, Terry and Sharyn purchased the Middle Road Veterinary Hospital in 2013. Terry has bred and exhibited dogs, parrots, finches and poultry. He currently owns 4 dogs, 2 cats as well as budgies, parrots and a few chooks.
Terry is a member of the Association of Avian Veterinarians - Australasian Committee, the Australian Veterinary Associated and the Australia Small Animal Veterinarians.
Terry is an experienced surgeon and performs a broad range of surgeries. He also enjoys treating complex and difficult skin and ear problems and has a life long interest in canine behaviour.
Terry has written three books on avian colour mutations and genetics.
Veterinary Practice Manager
Sharyn has been working in the veterinary industry for over 20 years. Before Middle Road Veterinary Hospital, Shary and Dr Terry owned Sunnybank Veterinary Clinic, which Sharyn managed and set up the successful running of the practice.
Previously, Sharyn exhibited and groomed standard poodles. She also became a senior judge of Dog Obedience and has been a memeber of Dogs Queensland for 40 years.
Sharyn believes in offering good old fashioned service with everybody working in a team, to achieve optimal heatlh care for all our client's pets.
You will find Sharyn behind the scenes, managing the hospital and she is always happy to say hello to all clients and your pets.

Genelle is a friendly, professional and highly thorough Veterinary Nurse, who has been Nursing for over 10 years.
She has a wealth of experience, knowledge in both companion animals and wildlife.
Genelle has a big, handsome and sweet cat called 'Fernando' who loves snuggles.... only with his mum though!
Her favourite thing about nursing is greeting you and your pets as soon as you walk into the hospital, triage, training other nurses and surgery.
In her spare time, she loves to catch up with her family, cook and play trivia.

Jess is a friendly and passionate certified Level IV Veterinary Nurse who has been nursing for 3 years. She recently moved up form Adelaide where she worked with small animals and her experience also extends working with large farm animals last year. With a soft spot for equine, Jess enjoys competing with her horse, called "Woosh" of which she had been riding for 22 years. In addition to "Woosh", Jess has two adorable dogs, "Mia" (a rescue), "Ivy" and a young cow named "Bully" with personality plus. Jess is family oriented person who also enjoys watching AFL, listening to country music and spending time outdoors. Jess's love and compassionate nature towards all animals means while your precious pets are in our care, they will be looked after like one of own.
